Nearly God is the alter ego of trip-hop musician Tricky. It's his unofficial 2nd album since it was released after his debut album "Maxinquaye". Chicco Twala - We Miss You Manelow (Album Released: 1986)

"We Miss You Manelow" was released in the mid-1980s when the apartheid regime was at its peak in South Africa. The album was initially titled "We Miss You Mandela" in reference to Nelson Mandela's life imprisonment in Robben Island since 1964. However, due to the apartheid government's censorship measures that prohibited the mentioning of the name Nelson Mandela in cultural products such as music, books, and films the title was tweaked a bit in order to avoid brushing the law the wrong way. In 1986/7 "We Miss You Manelow" was a hit in South Africa. Regardless of the political unrest in the country people were dancing and having fun. Most people were filled with optimism that one day Mandela will be free.

Chris Coco - Heavy Mellow (Album Released: 2005)

"Heavy Mellow" is an album by chillout music heavyweight and veteran Chris Coco. The album is a chillout winner filled with the laziest hypnotic ambient music. It features some musical and vocal contributions from artists such as Cathy Battistessa, Steve Miller, Dan Rowe, Sacha Puttnam, Chris Traynor, among others.

Alex Skolnick Trio

Every time I go through my music I always discover some albums I didn't know I had. I just discovered that I have two albums by the Alex Skolnick Trio, a jazz band led by guitarist Alex Skolnick of the heavy metal band Testament. The Trio plays bebop renditions of classic rock and heavy metal tunes. I'm now listening to their albums "Goodbye To Romance" (2002) and "Transformation" (2004). Excellent jazz music.

Ibizarre - The Ambient Collection: Volume 4 (Album Released: 2000)

I'm now listening to one of the most beautifullest music there ever is. This is the music of Danish chillout / ambient music composer Lenny Ibizarre. I'm in a tranquil state of mind as a result of the sounds that I'm hearing.

Technotronic - Pump Up The Jam (Album Released: 1989)

I finally found this album on CD. My vinyl copy has been worn out for a long time, but I couldn't get rid of it due to the bond I have with this album. Today while I was in Nelspruit I just came across this 2nd hand copy at a pawn shop.

One of my favorite albums (Sade - Love Deluxe)

"Love Deluxe" (Released: 1992) is one of the early trip-hop and downtempo albums that emerged in the early 1990s. It is characterized by soulful ambient music laced with dreamy and atmospheric soundscapes. Every time I listen to this album it teleports me to outter spaces. I thought I no longer have the original copy. Just found it in a box full of CDs I haven't played in years. I wish it was a vinyl though. I'm on the hunt for the vinyl.
